Devon.Link

This project plays with the ambivalent urge of many people within Western societies to reconnect with nature. and how this is played out by lifetyle brands.  A slightly satirical reference to marketing and branding that incorporates the idea of nature as a selling point.

The work consists of an informative video and multiple displays, presenting vaguely organic looking objects that have been sculpted from clay, 3D-scanned and 3D-printed. Meeting somewhere between coral, mushrooms and high-tech blobs.
In the video,  the imaginary product Devon.Link is marketed to the viewer. Digital versions of the sculptures explain (quite sassy) how they can revive the relationship between humans and nature, offering guidance on this journey, reestablishing the lost connection.
