Protocols of desire (dupes)
The collages show parts of the visually descriptive manuals from toy-flowers. They have a similarity to scientific botanical illustrations, where plants and flowers are dissected and categorized into different elements in order to understand their inner workings and structure.
Framing the collages are structures grown from living mycelium—the thread-like networks of fungi. Fungi have become the latest eco-trend, celebrated as nature’s hidden heroes—healers, recyclers, connectors, givers of life...
